obamacare and it's perks

I have to admit I have not really looked into how Obamacare will change my insurance. I figure I am not the only one, so I am not beating myself up about this. If it wasn't for Pinterest I actually still wouldn't know some of the great benefits to mom's who are planning to breastfeed. Instead of telling you about it in my own words I am going to direct you to this very informative blog post by the nap town organizer.

After reading this post I did a little searching on the internet. I suggest you call your insurance company to talk to them about these benefits. It seems that since this has just come into effect the beginning of August that some insurance companies are not as informed. It may take several calls. Also, some insurance companies will not start these benefits until the next open enrollment or if they have been grandfathered in they will not cover this at all.

I plan on calling my insurance company when I am a little further along. I really can't pass up the idea of a free electrical breast pump and saving several hundred dollars.
